Welcome to CauceOS: the operating system for conversations that matter

Today we open the doors of CauceOS, a bilingual live co-pilot for psychologists, therapists, HR professionals, and coaches. Here is what we are building, and why.

I have spent months stuck on a single question: why do the professionals who hold the most important conversations in the world have the worst tools to hold them?

A psychologist listens for 50 minutes without a break. A recruiter runs eight interviews in a single day. A manager walks into a hard conversation with no notes prepared. A couples therapist tries to follow two people speaking at once, in different languages, about years of shared history.

They all do the same thing: rely on memory, instinct, and a notebook. And they all know it is not enough.

CauceOS exists to change that.

What CauceOS is

CauceOS is a bilingual live co-pilot that joins your video sessions as one more participant. While you talk, it does three things:

  1. Transcribes what is being said, in any language, in real time.
  2. Surfaces signals that you configure yourself: long silences, crisis words, the absence of open questions, tone shifts — whatever you need to monitor.
  3. Suggests questions and observations grounded in the framework you choose — Gottman, EFT, CBT, IFS, MI, or whatever you use.

When the session ends, CauceOS writes a structured report in the format you already use: SOAP, DAP, progress notes, candidate evaluation, performance review, action plan. You review, edit, and sign. The 20 minutes of post-session paperwork turn into 3.

The real problem

There are tools that record and summarize sessions after they end. Some do generic transcription; others focus on clinical templates. All useful. All too late.

The critical moment is during the conversation, not after. It is when a therapist could notice their patient has not mentioned their mother in three weeks. It is when a recruiter could realize they have not asked a single behavioral question. It is when a coach could see they are dominating the conversation and not listening.

That information, surfaced live and well-presented, changes the outcome of the session. It does not replace the professional — it amplifies them.

The bilingual edge

Most transcription tools assume a single conversation in a single language. Reality today is different:

  • Spanish-speaking therapists with immigrant patients who prefer to respond in English.
  • Recruiters at global companies interviewing candidates across six countries.
  • Executive coaches serving teams where Spanish and English mix inside a single sentence.

CauceOS works bilingually, natively. Each person speaks their own language, the transcript keeps every voice intact, and the suggestions appear in the professional's language. It is not literal translation. It is simultaneous comprehension.

Who it is for

We designed CauceOS for four audiences:

  • Individual psychologists and therapists working in private practice or teletherapy, who need rigorous clinical reports without sacrificing rest time.
  • Couples and family therapists working with complex multi-voice dynamics who cannot afford to miss anything.
  • HR professionals running interviews, 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and difficult conversations who want to raise the rigor of their process.
  • Coaches — executive, life, career — who guide clients through long arcs and need continuity between sessions.

If your work is built on what gets said and heard inside a virtual room, CauceOS is for you.

What is coming

We are in private beta. The first professionals are already using the product with real sessions. Here is what we are refining:

  • More therapeutic frameworks available from day one.
  • Report templates specific to each vertical and specialty.
  • Configurable crisis detection, with a clear disclaimer that CauceOS assists, not diagnoses.
  • Integration with the video platforms you already use — nothing about your workflow has to change.

Over the next months we will write about professional practice (how to structure a first session, how to document a crisis, how to prepare for a difficult conversation), about the craft (interviews with professionals we admire, books we recommend), and about the product (design decisions, use cases, what we learn in each iteration).

A personal note

I am not building CauceOS because the technology is interesting. I am building it because I have seen brilliant professionals worn down by the administrative weight of their own work. Because I have seen patients wait months for reports that are running late. Because I have seen interviews decided by the recruiter's fatigue, not the candidate's merit.

Technology should serve the conversations that matter, not steal time from them.

If this resonates, we are ready to talk.
