Short answer: Not in the standard flow. Audio is what enables live transcription, alerts, and the post-session report. Without audio, real-time assistance is not possible.

Why audio is required

CauceOS works as a bot that joins the video call. Its core function is processing the session audio in real time to:

  • Transcribe the dialogue with speaker diarization
  • Identify risk signals and trigger alerts
  • Generate contextual question suggestions
  • Build the foundation of the post-session report

Each of these functions depends on the live transcription, which in turn depends on audio.

What happens to the audio afterward

Audio is processed in real time and is not stored. Once the session ends, the audio does not persist on any system. What remains is the text transcription and data derived from it.

Use cases without audio

If you have a specific use case (for example, you want to use only the clinical note templates without live transcription), write to us at [email protected]. We evaluate requests on a case-by-case basis and build additional functionality based on real demand from users.

CauceOS requires audio to function. The system processes video call audio in real time to generate transcription, alerts, and the report. Audio is not stored. Only the text transcription persists. Without audio, live assistance is not available.
