Does CauceOS work without an internet connection?

Short answer: No. CauceOS is a cloud service. It requires an active internet connection for all functions during the session.

Why an internet connection is required

CauceOS operates as a cloud bot that:

• Joins your video call session (requires internet)
• Processes audio in real time to generate the transcript (requires internet)
• Analyzes the transcript to trigger alerts (requires internet)
• Displays question suggestions in your dashboard (requires internet)

There is no local or installable version that works without a connection. The service architecture is cloud-native.

What happens if the connection drops

If the internet connection drops during a session:

• The bot leaves the video call automatically
• The transcript up to that point is saved in your account
• Live alerts and suggestions stop working
• You can resume the session when the connection is restored, but the bot will need to rejoin

Connectivity recommendations

For an uninterrupted session:

• Use a wired (ethernet) connection whenever possible
• If using Wi-Fi, ensure you are close to the router
